Traxdrop is a side-project I collaborate with a back-end developer Adam Fearnehough on.
The process
Working from an AngularJS prototype/POC I built, we rapidly set about building and designing a platform allowing music producers and labels to rapidly and securely share their music directly from Dropbox. For me, it was an opportunity to design a platform from the ground up directly in the browser. Learning a little Ruby on Rails and StimulusReflex (the Rails reactive JS framework) in the process was a bonus.
Early versions were shared with contacts in the music industry to use in anger, with feedback influencing ongoing iterations and new feature development. It is sometimes fun to just build something and work in a lean and Agile fashion with none of the constraints of proper work!
